Things To Know If You’re Running The Insane Inflatable 5K
What may be the craziest event we've ever concocted, the Insane Inflatable 5K is this weekend at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. And we couldn't have gotten better weather, sunny and 75 both Saturday and Sunday. Here are some key things to know if you're running in Saturday or Sunday's event.
ARRIVAL
- Arrive 1 hour before your wave time to allow enough time to park, check in at the registration table, get your bib and wave wrist band and check your bag at the complimentary bag check.
- Bring cash, parking is $10 and cash only.
- Parking.. enter the BROWN lot from State Fair Boulevard and follow event signs. (map)
- Bring photo ID, you won't be able to pick up your bib and wristband without it. If you registered with a military discount, bring military ID.
- Registration open at 8 a.m. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. Sunday
- You can bring your own water, but no alcohol or coolers. Beer and food will be available for purchase.
RACE RULES
- All Participants must have an Insane Inflatable 5k bib pinned to the FRONT of the clothing to start the race.
- Participants will be given a color-coded wristband that corresponds to their wave time.
- Wristbands must be worn & the correct color will only be allowed in the starting line area. All others will be turned away.
- Alcohol may not be consumed prior to running the race.
- Participants must line up 10 minutes prior to wave time, and you must run the wave you selected at registration.
- You may skip an obstacle if it’s too tough.
SPECTATORS
- Spectators may enter the event for free.
- Spectators get full access to the games, challenges and experiences on the Insane Midway, and are invited to view many areas of the course in designated Spectator Viewing Areas.
- Spectators must follow the same rules as runners: You may bring a lawn chair or blanket. You may not bring weapons, drugs, coolers or alcohol
