If you saw Polly Wogg's tale of our trip to Wonderworks, you know we made a trip to Destiny USA this past weekend.  We capped off the night with dinner at The Melting Pot.  What a great restaurant, and some of the best of service I have ever experienced at any restaurant.  Check out some photos from inside the restaurant.

The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant with a huge menu that was thoroughly explained when we were seated.  We opted for the Big Night Out four course dinner so we could sample everything.  And I do mean everything!

The meal starts with a cheese fondue prepared at your table.

Salads were next, but we were to busy enjoying a Caesar and California Salad to take any photos.  Okay so maybe a beverage too.  They actually have a beer or wine specific to each course.  This is the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Time for the main course!  Again our waiter patiently explained the cooking times for each part of the main course.  And what a huge serving of food, we should have brought help.  Chicken, Shrimp, Beef and Pork all available with several types of seasoning and dipping sauces.

For the end of the meal, it's Chocolate Fondue time.  It was what Polly Wogg had looked forward too all night.  We couldn't even attempt to eat anything else and even took home half the main course.  And this is where the service went past good to exceptional.  Apparently we weren't the first not to be able to complete the meal, our waiter gave us a certificate good for free chocolate fondue for two.  No strings, just stop back and have the fondue.    The owner even came to the table to say thanks and make sure we received the free certificate.  And don't think this was special treatment for a couple of "radio people,"  they didn't know us from Adam.  The word is out on the Melting Pot, so make reservations (315-471-6358) or you'll never get in.  The wait was more than 3 hours without one, but would have been well worth it.  Great food, great service and all at a very reasonable price.
