Ten Thousand Without Power in Central New York
Ten thousand people are without power in Central New York.
Windy conditions are causing problems with over 60 power outages in the area. Over 3000 are affected in the Rome area alone. Thousands more are without power from Sylvan Beach to near Redfield, New York. The lights went out around 9am.
National Grid crews are working to restore electricity. It's expected to be back on around 11.
A wind advisory is in affect for central New York until noon, which could cause more problems and power outages throughout the region.
The power isn't the only thing not working in central New York. Residents in Marcy are without water today as the Mohawk Valley Water Authority is working on maintenance today.
