Teen Falls From Ride at Six Flags in Lake George
A crowd at Six Flags in Lake George helped save a 14 year-old girl who fell from a ride.
The Delaware teen was on the 'Sky Ride' and fell about 25 feet on Saturday June, 24th. She hit a tree before landing in the crowd of guests and employees.
Loren Lent caught the terrifying moment on video and posted it video on Facebook where it quickly went viral. The crowd can be heard saying 'her neck is stuck.' Once the girl gets unstuck, she's seen falling into the crowd.
The girl was treated by park emergency medical personnel before the ambulance arrived and was taken to the Glens Falls Hospital. She was later transported via helicopter to the Albany Medical Center where she remains in stable condition with no serious injuries reported, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Department.
A Schenectady man was also taken to the hospital after suffering a back injury when he tried to catch the girl.
Sheriff’s Investigators assisted by park personnel inspected the ride and the car the victim was riding in and found everything was in proper working order and all safety equipment was intact and operational at the time of the incident.
