Since the announcement of the Mohawk Valley Health System's intention to build a new hospital in Downtown Utica, people have been concerned about the reuse plan for the St. Elizabeth and St. Luke's campuses. That concern still exists.
There have been some difficult stories that have surfaced about the new Wynn Hospital in Utica since its opening last year, and many of them are not true, according to MVHS CEO Darlene Stromstad. Stromstad appeared on WIBX's Keeler show for an extended interview on Tuesday, June 11th.

It looks like the controversy over Utica's Kennedy Parking Garage is over.
On Thursday, Utica Mayor Rob Palmieri announced that the city's Urban Renewal Agency has approved the sale of the garage to none other than, Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) for $1.5 million.
Picente was also not shy about delays in the project that have new MVHS Wynn Hospital set to open a full six months before it's adjacent parking garage.
