With election primary season getting underway, it is getting closer to the time where we decide the next leader of our country, but did you know that President John F. Kennedy made a campaign stop in Ilion?

It was a moment frozen in time, 50 years ago today, when President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated. As a baby boomer, I recall exactly where I was when I heard the new.

This Friday marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. For those of us old enough to remember, it was a moment frozen in time, much like 9/11. JFK was supposed to deliver a speech in Dallas the night that he was assassinated.

Today marks a sad day in American history. On this day, November 22, 1963, our 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. For baby boomers, WWII Generation and others old enough to remember, it was a tragic moment frozen in time.
