Big Frog 104 returns to Sylvan Beach with the Country Showcase, free summer country concerts every Wednesday night from 7 to 9.  Some of Central New York's best bands are on this year's calendar.  And Big Frog's Texaco Country Showdown, the nation's largest country music talent search will be returning too.

The Texaco Country Showdown started July 6th at Sylvan Beach and now 6 weeks later the preliminary round winners face off with the winner going to the state finals.  The Showdown is the nation's largest country music talent search and how many of today's stars got their start.

Is it me or has it rained 72 Wednesdays in a row?  Okay so it is me, but we finally have a beautiful night for the final Texaco Country Showdown preliminary round at Sylvan Beach tonight brought you by Claycomb Auto Sales.  Four contestants will vie for the last spot in the finals to be held next Wednesday night, August 24.
