SU Stars Andrew White and John Gillon Will be in Wheelchairs
Syracuse University basketball stars John Gillon and Andrew White will soon be in wheelchairs. They'll join Erin Hamlin and local celebrities for the 15th annual Sitrin Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball game.
Gillon has a school-record 48 straight free throws, equaling the third longest streak in ACC history. Gillon's .918 free-throw shooting percentage in league games topped the ACC and he also led the ACC in assist average.
White scored in double digits in 31-of-34 games and set a Syracuse season record with 109 3-pointers.
But can Gillon and White score from a wheelchair?
I'm honored to join the celebrity team once again this year for the Wheelchair basketball game that'll be held Thursday, April 13th at 6:30pm in the Utica College Clark Athletic Center.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for kids under 5. All proceeds benefit the Sitrin Stars adaptive sports program.
There will also be a 50/50 drawing, silent auction and a raffle to compete in a 3 point competition against White and Gillon during halftime.
