South Trenton Pub Winning Burger [PHOTOS]

The South Trenton Pub is home of the best burger.  The '8 pointer' was voted the winner at the New York State Fair this summer.  Saturday, pub owners Ralph and Karen Dettenhoffer, received their award from the New York State Beef Council and we were on hand to celebrate. 

The '8 pointer' is served up on signature buns with STP branded into each one.  It has cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avacado slices, red onion and a special sour cream sauce.  I tried to get Ralph to give me the sauce recipe but he wasn't talking.   I did see a number of people ordering the specialty, including John and Trish of Utica, who drove to the pub just to try the burger.  They aren't alone.  Over 600 '8 pointers' have been sold since the fair.  So head on over to the South Trenton Pub and try one for yourself.  While you're there, check out the skylight inside the bar.  But be advised, if you're a woman you may want to avoid the area.  If you look up and see all the antlers, you'll also notice bras hanging from each.  Legend has it, if you are a woman and you look up, you have to give up your bra.  Good thing I was working and had an excuse, because I had on my favorite bra Saturday night.  Now I'll have to go back to contribute to the cause.
