You may notice that the sun is out in CNY today and there are only a couple of clouds, so that should mean predominantly blue sky, right? Nope. The smoke from the California wildfires that started last month has finally reached us here on the East Coast and is hanging out around 8-10 thousand feet. Don't worry, you can't breathe it in much less smell it at that height, but it does make for some eerie looking skies for awhile. The smoke can be seen on the left side of the photo below around the more defined clouds.
