You've heard the old saying about central New York, "We have two seasons...winter and construction season". Well, we're in construction season during the "Frog Days Of Summer" and just a note about slow traffic on Mohawk Street in Whitesboro, which I found out this morning on my way in to Big Frog 104.

Here are details from our sister station, WIBX:

"Prepare to add roughly 15-minutes to your commute if you travel on Mohawk Street in Whitesboro.A Department of Transportation project is officially underway. Work crews are repaving the road from Oriskany Boulevard to Route 49.

Officials say the project is expected to last about a week and a half, and motorist will only have access to one side of the road during the project."

I look at construction projects as a win-win: roads are being repaired for safer driving and people are on the job working.
