After a crash injured several people including two State Troopers, some are calling for stricter penalties when the 'Move Over' law is ignored.

The accident happened on Sunday near the Capitol Region of New York State.

Two Troopers, two truck drivers and the allegedly intoxicated driver involved in the crash all sustained injuries as a result of the crash.

The driver who caused the crash, Christopher Neumann faces charges for DWI and vehicular assault, but only a fine/non-criminal violation for not moving over.

Since the move over law was ignored in this case, some think that penalties should be much steeper.

What do you think? Will stiffer laws prevent these type of accidents or would that be an example of over-policing citizens?
