The Rome Rescue Mission is coming up short of their yearly fundraising goal that is used to serve over 200 meals a day in Central New York.

Officials at the Mission say they are nearly $40,000 short of the $150,000 needed to serve the children, families, men and women of our community.

Last year around the Holidays, the Rome Rescue Mission fed more than 350 people at its Christmas Celebration Meal and was able to hand out 250 more meals to the poor and homeless.

This year, the mission is in danger of not being able to help as many in the community, so a GoFundMe page has been set up to help them reach their goal.

The mission also provides many local children with a Christmas meal and a toy or two to help make their Christmas much better than it might have been otherwise.

You can donate to the Mission through their GoFundMe page, or RomeMission.org, or in person at the Mission - 413 East Dominick Street in Rome.

The Rome Rescue Mission serves nearly 200 meals per day at their 18-bed shelter for women and children.
