Got old electronics you want to get rid of? Trash them during a recycling event this weekend.

Senator Joseph Griffo is teaming up with the Oneida Herkimer Solid Waste Authority to hold the electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 13th.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Authority's Recycling Center on Leland Avenue in Utica.

The public can drop off electronics like TVs, computers and other electronics.  The event will also feature document shredding and a unwanted prescription drop-off.

Previous recycling events hosted by Griffo have resulted in more than 500,000 pounds of electronics being recycled.
