Record Cold Temperatures Freeze Parts of Niagara Falls
It's cold! How cold is it? Colder than Antarctica where temperatures were in the 30s. That would feel like a heatwave right now in New York where records were broken. It's so cold Niagara Falls isn't falling.
Syracuse was at -15, breaking the record of -9 set in 1998. Binghamton broke a record from 1957 with temperatures at -7.
There's not much relief in store with a Wind Chill Advisory in effect until noon with wind chills to range from 10 below to 25 below zero.
Friday and Saturday another cold snap hits central New York with temperatures dropping down to -14 overnight, and that's without the wind chill.
