Ray Price Dies at Age 87, Country Stars React
Ray Price has passed away at the age of 87. The Country Music Hall of Famer fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Price left the hospital last week to at home with his family and released a statement to fans, saying goodbye.
Bill Mack confirmed the sad news on Facebook.
JANIE JUST CALLED ME: RAY PRICE LEFT FOR HEAVEN AT 4:43 PM CENTRAL TIME. HE WENT IN PERFECT PEACE. DETAILS LATER. JANIE AND THE FAMILY SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR PRAYERS. RAY'S BODY WILL BE RECEIVED AT RESTLAND FUNERAL HOME IN DALLAS.
Fans and the country music community expressed their gratitude for what Ray Price left behind and sadness that he's gone on Twitter.

The country music world lost a legend. We can only hope he was met by George Jones, who passed away in April, at the Pearly Gates.
Price was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996. He's won ACM awards for his album and single 'For the Good Times,' even picking up a Grammy in 1971 for Best Male Vocal Performance.
