Our late run of summer weather may not have you thinking winter. But the farm experts at Cornell Cooperative Extension says now is the time to make sure your ready for winter feeding needs, especially Beef producers.

CCE sill be holding a free beef producers’ discussion group, featuring Dr. Mike Baker, Beef Cattle Specialist from Cornell University. The event is at 5:30 Friday, September 23rd. Topics will include:

  • winter feeding strategies
  • allocating the feed you have
  • body condition scoring
  • determining when an animal is finished

The session will be at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County's offices at 121 Second St. in Oriskany.  While it's free. reservations are required.  Call 315-736-3394 ext. 132 or email: mrm7@cornell.edu.
