If I can go 'Over the Edge' of the Adirondack bank building for Special Olympics, ride 15k on a bike to helpfight diabetes in the Tour de Cure, I can definitely walk 2 miles to support our troops.

When asked to take part in Sitrin's Stars & Strikes Run/Walk I was all in.  Anything I can do to support our men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line, I'll do.

The 5k run, 5k wheelchair, and 2 mile walk will take place September 29th on the SUNYIT Campus in Marcy NY.  It'll support Sitrin's military rehabilitation program which provides care for wounded warriors.

Registration begins at 8am with the wheelchair races starting at 8:40am, the 5k run kicking off at 9am and the walk starting at 9:30am.

Download a pledge form to sign up to take part.  Registrations is only $25 but there are several incentives for the more you raise.  The incentive should just be the wounded warriors we're raising money for like Major Bob Roberts.  He's taken part in 4 combat tours and was recently injured while in Afghanistan.

Major Roberts had part of his spine removed and wasn't able to walk until he started his rehabilitation program at Sitrin.
