Imagine having an entire mall to yourself. Now imagine that mall covered in snow. Johnny Joo, a 24-year-old photojournalist from Ohio captured an abandoned mall in Ohio that looked more like a winter wonderland.

The Rolling Acres Mall in Akron closed in October 2008. A recent blizzard shattered the glass ceiling, creating a scene you've never seen.

"Imagine having a snowball fight in a place like this? As most of the glass ceiling has given away, we are left with the very strange scene of winter wonderland staged by nature in the middle of destruction. Nature paints a soft and beautiful world into the last place you would expect to see it," say Joo.

Joo says "I love climbing through abandoned spaces and seeing the more unseen parts of our world, documenting the forgotten through photojournalism." He's releasing a book of empty spaces that can be preordered.
