One of the greatest things about Central New York is the support of our troops. A Christmas Tree Farm in Canastota showed their love with trees for those stationed away from home during Christmas.

Romagnoli's Christmas Tree Farm in Canastota participated in the Trees for Troops national campaign and set a lofty goal of sending 250 trees from CNY to military installations around the globe. News Channel 9 in Syracuse reports not only did they hit the mark, it was exceeded.

Working with other Christmas Tree Farms, Romagnoli's collected 274 trees. Volunteers helped load the trees and Fed Ex donated trucks to deliver them. The trees are sen to the Naval Station in Pensacola and then distributed in the US and overseas.

Other Tree Farms in New York will be participating in the campaign and you can also help on line at Trees for Troops.com
