NYS Fair Will Extend ‘Senior Days’ Due To Heat Index
The next few days are expected to be extremely hot and humid according to weather reports. That's prompted the NYS Fair to add to their senior citizen discount days.
According to the Great New York State Fair's website, the Fair will add a third 'Senior Day' where attendants 60 years old or older can get into the Fair for free.
The addition of another free entry day is so that senior citizens can enjoy a free day at the fair when the heat is forecasted to be lower.
“High heat and humidity can be troublesome for everyone, but particularly for seniors. We are happy to offer an extra day of free admission to make sure our senior fairgoers get to enjoy a fun—and safe—day at the Fair,” said Acting Fair Director Troy Waffner.
Tuesday, August 28 is expected to be extremely hot with temperatures in the 90's and a heat/humidity index pushing temperatures up into the 100's.
