I'll have to admit I'm not much of a baseball fan, however I am a Derek Jeter fan.  Not because he's a Yankee, but because he's a great ball player, seems to be a genuinely nice person and he's easy on the eyes.  OMG that man is georgeous and the only reason to ever watch baseball outside of the World Series.  Sorry Yankee fans.

Jeter's 3000th hit was the talk over the weekend.  He became the first New York Yankee and the 28th player in major league history to reach 3000 career hits.

The fan who caught the ball, Christian Lopez, gave it back and didn't want anything in return.  Lopez, who played football at St Lawrence University , said it "wasn't about the money, it's about a milesone."    He did get to meet Jeter and received lots of autographs and tickets to future games.  He'd better give most of those tickets to his girlfriend, who was the one who gave him the tickets to the game that will go down in Yankee history.
