If you missed the Northern Lights that we've been talking about this week, you'll get more chances to check them out.

NASA has extended its geomagnetic storm watch through early Saturday. This means that if the weather cooperates, the lights are likely to be seen as far south as the Southern Tier, and even parts of Central New York.

Remember, there is no guarantee when it comes to how far south the lights will travel. According to NASA, at midnight last night (which was the peak time to check them out) it was only as far south as southern Canada.

If you'd like to see the lights, NASA advises you to head as far North as possible here in New York.
