Ever wonder what a day in the life of a New York State Forest Ranger is like? Rescuing lost and injured hikers in the dark and dealing with nuisance bears would describe many of their days. But a horse stuck under a bridge probably isn't frequently on their average routine.

The call came from the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Area, a man reported his horse, Chance was stuck on a trail.  Responding to the scene, Forest Rangers Arthur Perryman, Benjamin Baldwin, and Charles Kabrehl found Chance had slipped on a small footbridge and somehow gotten part of himself trapped under the bridge.

Officers were able to disassemble the bridge and free the horse. Short of some minor cuts, Chance seemed to be okay. Although he does look a bit bewildered in the photo below.
