New Winter Forecast Says Frequent Snow In Northeast

If you are not a fan of a snowy winter, there is not very good news for those of us in the Northeast.  Accuweather has just released their long-term winter forecast and it predicts an extended winter for this region. Sound like the Farmer's Almanac prediction for the winter season may come true after all.

The report calls for frequent storms across the northeastern U.S. with above normal snowfall.  It adds that the winter could last well into spring.

It's predicted that the Northeast region will total a below-number of sub-zero days, but the temperature will average about 4 degrees lower than it did last winter.

Accuweather also says that the lake effect season in the area from Buffalo to Watertown will begin earlier this year.  That's expected due to warmer than normal water temperatures in the Great Lakes.
