The Department of Environmental Conservation has set one of their goals to make New York Outdoors more accessible for all residents. They've expanded that openness with a new Wheel Chair Accessible fishing area.

The new site is on Scriba Creek on the north end of the Oneida Hatchery. The site will accommodate up to 7 people and has lower railings to make it accessible to fishing from a wheelchair.

The area also feature two picnic tables with access too. While the fishing is best in spring, there are fish in the creek year round. The DEC has built several accessible fishing spots throughout Cenrtal and Upstate New York.
