The Village of Ilion is steeped in history, and thanks to the Ilion Film Company, we get to catch a glimpse of what life was like there in the past.

Producers of the documentary have spent years researching and studying the roots of Ilion. They've interviewed several people who have a thorough knowledge and understanding of one of Oneida County's most iconic towns.

This documentary film on the history of Ilion, N.Y. will take a look at the history of the United States of America through the eyes of the people from this small town. It will tell the story of how one small American town and its people are a reflection of this country as a whole.

The name of the film is: Portrait of an American Town: Ilion, NY, and is scheduled to be released sometime in 2016. Michael Patreri is the the company's director, and he's super excited about this project. He's also directed several other movies including: Falling Frames and Amiko Blue.
