Ever since I was a kid, the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" has been a tradition in the McShea household, and it still is. My wife and I usually have it on while peeling potatoes, basting the turkey and mixing up the stuffing. And all the while, the coffee pot is going with a slice of pumpkin bread now and then.

Then, on comes the football. When I was growing up, the only NFL team to play on a day other than Sunday, was the Detroit Lions on their annual Thanksgiving Day Thursday outing. Years later, "America's Team" (according to them) the Dallas Cowboys jumped in as the second pro football game of the day. And more recently, the NFL added a third night game!

Let's take a look at this year's Thanksgiving matchups:

Game#1: Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions - 12:30 p.m. on Fox

Game#2: Oakland Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys - 4:30 p.m. on CBS

Game#3: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens - 8:30 p.m. on NBC

By the end of the day, I'll be seeing yard lines in my sleep!
