Yesterday, I was able to visit the Munson-Williams-Procotr Arts Institute Sidewalk Art Show part of the Institute's Arts Festival. And, I have to say, the artistic talent that we have in this area is beyond amazing. I looked around for a while and the photos, paintings, drawings and sculptures are great. I was fortunate enough to have my photo accepted into the art show this year. And, I was very excited to see it hanging up for all to see.

The MWPAI Arts Festival is definitely an asset to our community. It not only allows people to show off their artwork, it shows all the wonderful talent that people have in our community. I spoke with Jeanette Lenoir from our sister station WIBX 950-AM about just how great Utica is because of events like these. Not only is Utica filled with culture and a rich history, our city has amazing theaters and a museum that holds events like these to bring our community together.

So, you can stop by and check things out. The Arts Festival continues through July 4. The hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. To check out the daily schedule of events happening at the festival, click here.

Also, the public has a chance to vote for their favorite pieces. If you want to check out my photo up close, the number is 109 and it's at the end of the sidewalk show if you're walking toward the roundabout on Genesee Street.

Here are some pictures I took while at the event:
