On the Road with Polly: How to Build a Career with Metal Solutions and AeroMed Technologies

Welcome to the latest edition of "On the Road with Polly," where I give you an inside view of a local company, from the products they make to what makes them a great place to work.

This time, I got to see how Metal Solutions' crew turns a flat piece of metal into amazing parts used in busses, football stadiums (including SoFi Stadium where the Super Bowl was held), and even the space station. They are adding a paint room with state-of-the-art equipment that they hope to have up and running within a month.

Not only do they work with customers to produce parts they need and want, they also find ways the companies can be more efficient and save costs. Throughout their processes, they have several checkpoints to make sure all parts and the finished product are made to specs with no mistakes.

You may have passed the building on Broad Street, or seen it at the start of Boilermaker road race and had no idea what's inside or what the company does, but they were nice enough to let me try a few of their machines:

Metal Solutions and its sister company AeroMed Technologies are both hiring for several positions. They want to recruit long-term employees who are interested in growing with the company and retiring there one day.
