I'm a bit jealous about this mentored turkey hunt from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. It's only for novice women hunters 16 or older. Oneida and Madison county hunters and the NWTF will join the DEC to offer some inside tips on calling and tracking birds this spring.

To participate, there are two important dates in April to remember. April 1 is the deadline to register for the hunt and the weekend of April 14 will be a training session that must be attended. The hunting will occur during the May turkey season.
