Memorial Fund Set Up For Boy Killed on Mother’s Day

A family is mourning the loss of an 8 year-old boy after a tragic accident on Mother's Day.

A Logan Lints Memorial Fund has been set up on Go Fund Me.

"Logan was involved in a tragic accident and passed away as a result of his injuries. He was only 8 years old and filled with life. He was loved dearly by all his family and his passing leaves such an empty hole in our hearts. We'd like to use the money donated here to help the family cover funeral expenses," writes Rachel Freiberger who set up the Go Fund Me.

The accident happened in the Sangertown Square mall parking lot when a truck backing out hit the boy. He was taken to the hospital where he died, according to WIBX.

New Hartford police are continuing to investigate.
