Maureen Hancock will be at the New Hartford High School on August 30th. Did you know that the school is one of the most haunted spots in Central New York?

There's been plenty of reports of pioneer spirits, former janitors, former teachers, and even Native American spirits on the grounds.

It’s no rumor, the high school was built on former cemetery. I’m not making that up. The ground used to be a burial ground for pioneers to the area. There’s even a plaque at the school today that reads the following:

The memorial, a monument on the present Central School grounds over a vault containing bodies of pioneers, reads: “Site of the old burying ground, 1788-1953, in memory of those hardy pioneers who helped found a nation and who settled this village and valley.”"

Rumor has it that there is one ‘bad’ ghost and one ‘good’ ghost. The bad one is rumored to hang out in the auditorium. The good one has been seen wandering the halls. Maybe our ghostly friends will make an appearance on August 30th.
