Say goodbye to Marco's pizza, at least in the Empire state. The pizzeria has closed all their New York stores, including the location in Rome.

Pastor James shared the sad news on Facebook. "Due to dollars (ie. minimum wage requirements), all Marco's Pizza Shops in New York, including Rome, have been closed."

There's no official press release or announcement from Marco's corporate office about the recent New York store closings. However, the location map on Marco's website shows no stores in the Empire state.

A Google search for 'Marco's Pizza New York' says the Rome and Niagara Falls locations are 'permanently closed.'

A Google Maps search for Marco's Pizza shows the Rome store front with the sign already removed.

Not only does the Rome closing put several people out of work, it ends the weekly donations to the Rescue Mission with Pastor James.
