Manny’s Cheesecake in Utica Goes Up In Flames

A Utica landmark for over 40 years has gone up in flames.  Manny's Cheesecake, at the corners of Pleasant and Oneida street was destroyed in the fire early this morning.  Luckily no one was injured.  A baker came into work and smelled smoke before calling 9-1-1.  Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire but some speculate lightning could be to blame.

I never had the oppotunity to try a Manny's cheesecake.  I love cheesecake and always thought I should stop in and get one every time I drove by.  Now it's too late.  Lesson learned - do it rather than just think about it.
