Your morning routine will soon never be the same. Major changes are coming to Big Frog 104.

It's the end of an era. After 43 years in the radio business, 15 in Utica, New York on Big Frog 104, Bill McAdams aka Tadpole, has finally decided to retire.

His radio career began in 1978 in Paris, Illinois where he was a sports director. 65 basketballs games later he decided it wasn't for him and moved to Indiana to become an overnight jock on a pop station.

Since then Tad has become a little bit of a nomad. Working in Watertown, New York, where we met Stacey aka Polly, then moved to Ohio, Kentucky, and Arizona before finding roots at Big Frog in Utica.

Along the way, Bill has touched more lives than he even realizes. Turning starry-eyed kids into successful men and women who work in the radio business all over the country. Using his even-keeled personality and ability to fix any problem, personal and professional.

I was one of those starry-eyed kids. Bill has made me the person I am today and I don't know what I'm going to do without him. I understand his need to finally enjoy life after giving so much of himself to the job, but I'm sure going to miss working with him every morning. On the bright side, he won't have to work on vacation anymore.

Who will fill Bill's big shoes? Meet Carl, who will be taking over for Tad in the morning.

Tad will hang around for the next few weeks to get Carl ready to take over. After that, Tad won't be gone forever. We'll check in from time to time to see how retirement is going and he'll still probably need a weekly therapy call with Carl on how to deal with his new morning show partner. He'll also join Polly for some Chaos in the Kitchen Monday through Wednesday nights at 5 on our Facebook page.

We thank Bill/Tad for everything he's done and given us over the year and wish him the best in the next chapter of life as we take a look back at his impressive radio career.
