Love and Theft will bring in 2015 right in our backyard.   The duo celebrate the New Year at Turning Stone's Tin Rooster.  We caught up with Stephen Liles to discuss the holidays with little kids, their new album and touring.

Stephen and his duo partner, Eric Gunderson are both papas to one year olds.  He says it was great to get some time at home for the holidays.

You can't see the picture below and not laugh and ask why.  Stephen explains they were on "the CMT Tour with Jake Owen and Florida Georgia Line when Jake's daughter was born."  It was our way of saying congratulations."

As for their career path, Love and Theft have also toured with Taylor Swift and spent two of the last three summers with Tim McGraw.  Stephen says, "Tim has given them the most support."  Love and Theft was just starting to take off, when one of the industry's most shocking moments happened with the closing of Disney's Lyric Street Records.  Stephen says "it turned out good for them, although they didn't know it at the time."

It's onward and upward for Love and Theft these days with a new album, "Whiskey On My Breath," on the way in February.  Stephen says they tossed "the electric guitars for the project to showcase their harmonies."  They also got to work with Josh Leo, a guy with ties to Alabama, Jimmy Buffet and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Love and Theft will ring in the new year at Turning Stone's Tin Rooster and Stephen says they will have a few of the new albums available at the show, even though it's not in stores until February 10.
