According to our sister station, WIBX:

"Over 93 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more from home.

AAA’s Ed Welsh says that’s a nearly two-percent increase over last year, despite record high gas prices.

Welsh says the average price in the Utica-Rome market is $3.76 a gallon, down about 15 cents over the past month.

That’s about 20 cents a gallon more than this time last year."
