Herkimer Welcomes The Valley’s Newest Bar And Grille

The Barracks has just opened up in East Herkimer with food, cold drinks and all the sports you can handle.

Owner Mike 'Stoney' Stone and his wife Michelle own and operate Stoney's Tavern on Main Street in Herkimer and have decided to expand across town.

The Barracks is located where the former Cangee's bar was on 295 Main Road in Herkimer, just down the road from Lowe's.

The Barracks is open daily Monday thru Thursday 11:30 a.m. until Midnight and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. until 2 a.m.

They'll be serving a delicious selection of traditional pub fare including appetizers(try their deep fried mac & cheese bites) and handheld favorites.

All their burgers are made with Angus beef and they also offer specialties like the grilled ham & cheese(known in Ilion as the Golden Bomber) and even fried bologna!

You can even relax in their lounge area and watch sports on their huge leather sectional couch.
