Congratulations to Cassidy Tyron from Horeseheads, New York.  She recently out cooked her fellow contestants on Chopped Junior, and walked away with $10,000 in prize money.

Since this is one of our favorite shows, we're over the moon that a girl from Upstate won an episode of Chopped Junior. Cassidy's family and friends gathered around the TV Tuesday night to watch her outshine her competitors.

If your not familiar with the show, here's what it entails according to New York Upstate. Com:

Similar to adult version "Chopped," four young contestants are given a basket of mystery ingredients and must turn them into meals in 30 minutes. There are three rounds—appetizers, entrees and desserts—with one contestant eliminated after each round.

vegetable fries, and mango pico de gallo. Judge Marcus Samuelsson gave her rave reviews, and she couldn't be happier about her big win.

Cassidy plans on saving some of her prize winnings for college, and wants to donate the rest to a community food bank.
