If you're a die hard Syracuse Orangemen fan, where else would you get married than during the tailgate party? Kristine Engler and Sean Haitian, wearing their team jerseys, with 'Bride' and 'Groom' on the back, tied the knot before Saturday's game in front of 75 of their friends and family.

Thousands more watched it inside the dome. "SU videoed it as it was happening and played it live through the dome monitors," says Engler.

The man who made it official even looked like an official, donning a ref uniform.

Engler, who is a radiation therapist, met Heitman while treating his mother. They have been dating for three and a half years but Engler says it took a close call in a motorcycle accident for Sean "to realize how much we meant to each other." Luckily he came away unhurt and they moved in together a few months later.

It's a second marriage for both and Engler says "neither of us wanted to do the whole big wedding thing again."

Engler is a long time SU fan, who's parents have had season tickets for years. She started bringing Heitman to games and he was hooked. "Football brought us closer," say Engler so it only made sense to get married at a tailgate party.
