Albany, NY (WIBX) - Flags are flying at half-staff across New York today in honour of a Marine killed by an Afghan police officer.

Governor Cuomo ordered the honour be given in memory of

Lance Corporal Gregory Buckley of Oceanside who was killed along with six others in a gymnasium in Afghanistan last week.

The Marine’s father has called for an end to the war, saying that he feels his son was “executed.”

A mass at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre and burial at Long Island National Cemetery will take place on Saturday, August 18, 2012.
