Father Told Missing Son Found on Live TV [VIDEO]
The father of a missing boy was told live on the air, that his son was found alive, in his own basement, in a bizarre case in Michigan. Nancy Grace broke the news to 12-year-old Charlie Bothuell's dad. And she wasn't gentle about it.
Charlie was discovered behind boxes and a 55 gallon drum, despite four searches of the basement by family, police, the FBI and cadaver dogs. Charlie's father was stunned by the news and told reporters, 'I'm shocked, because I looked, the Detroit Police looked, the FBI looked. For anyone to imply that I knew he was in the basement is absurd.'
WXYZ in Detroit says Bothuell's stepmother, Monique Dillard-Bothuel has been taken into custody for violating her probation. She'd plead guilty earlier this year to purchasing a gun without a permit.
Nancy Grace continues to follow the bizarre case, giving updates on Twitter.
#CharlieBothuell was reportedly found in a tiny room w/ cereal, milk, Gatorade, and fresh chicken! Who was feeding him?

An underground tunnel connects the town homes in this complex. Was 12-yr-old #CharlieBothuell using this to navigate unnoticed?

I'll continue to investigate this story until we get to the bottom of #CharlieBothuell's disappearance

The public is also weighing in on Twitter.

Speaking as a father...his reactions lacked authenticity and at times he was OVER acting throw the book at him #CharlieBothuell #detroit

What do you think? If I was told my child had been found after being missing almost 2 weeks, I'd bolt from that interview chair so fast. And where were the tears.
This case may get stranger before it's over. I'm just glad the boy is safe.
