Farm Tax Questions Answered for 10 Dollars Lunch Included
One thing harder than milking cows for a living is the associated paperwork that goes with the job. Tax time can be a nightmare for any farming operation if you don't have the proper preparation. The Ag Team at Cornell Cooperative Extension will host an "Ask the Expert" conference to ease some of your pain.
The conference will be hosted by Grey Bennis with Farm Credit East on Tuesday, March 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at CCE Oneida County's offices in Oriskany. Topics covered include:
- tax forms you need
- how to keep receipts
- tracking mileage and other important numbers
- best practices for tracking income and expenses
You'll also be able to ask your own questions at the conference. The cost is $10 and includes a light lunch. Here's more info on the conference. Registration is required by Friday, March 15th and can be done online.
