Did you know New York State has its own natural lazy river? Yup, its in the Ausable Chasm near Lake Champlain, and its way cooler than any lazy river you've probably been on.

There are a ton of things to do in and around Ausable Chasm including hiking, camping and whitewater rafting, but taking a tube through the beautiful canyon might be the best way to explore what come call 'The Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks.'

Tubes and life jackets are provided and there are a few portage areas where you can take a short walk to avoid rapids.

Tubing is available all summer long(weather permitting) for anyone taller than 4 feet.

The tubing area is located about a mile from the welcome center, and there are no lockers so be prepared and make sure you have proper footwear, flip flops are not allowed. Sandals with a heel strap, water shoes or old sneakers are required.

The tubing costs just $12 for ages 13 and up and is $10 for ages 5-12.

You can find more information about all the activities at Ausable Chasm at AusableChasm.com.
