A little less than 5,000 people have been killed as a result of the earthquake in Nepal and over 9,000 have been injured. The devastating quake registered as high as 7.9 on the richter scale. A disaster this powerful leaves in it's path nothing but destruction. You can see evidence of this in the drone footage below.

The person who shot the video footage is Kishor Rana. He posted the video to his Facebook page. He commented on the tragedy saying,

These are desperate times but we must all unite together in times like these. Here are the footages I took today of the aftermath of the 7.9 earthquake that hit us yesterday. Out of respect to the victims family, I did not take footages of live rescues taking place. We not only lost many lives and homes but we lost many pieces of our cultural heritage, our history. These are the footages of all the ancient cultural heritage sites that were destroyed during the earthquake.
