Darius Rucker is getting the band back together. Hootie and the Blowfish will hit the road for the Group Therapy tour and there's several stops in New York.

Alright, you'd better hold my hand. For the first time in over a decade, Hootie and the Blowfish are going on tour....and the Barenaked Ladies are coming too. The 'Group Therapy Tour' hits 44 cities including Saratoga Springs and Canandaigua next August.

Aug. 4 — Saratoga Springs, N.Y. @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Aug. 9 — Canandaigua, N.Y. @ CMAC

See the full list of tour dates at Hootie.com. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 7 at www.LiveNation.com.

If a Hootie reunion tour isn't big enough, there's more. The guys will also release a new album just as their debut 'Cracked Rear View' celebrates its 25th anniversary. That album went on to hit platinum 21 times and diamond twice. And that's just in the U.S.

I haven't been this excited since Garth Brooks announced his return to the country music world. I grew up on Hootie and own every album they released. As for the Barenaked Ladies...I actually saw them in a college dorm in Toronto. They were just sitting around, strumming and singing. But that was back before anyone knew their name.

This is going to be history in the making and I only wanna be with Hootie & the Ladies next August.
