Cowboy Saloon in Destiny USA May Not Open After All

When is Cowboy Saloon really opening in Destiny USA? It was announced last November, the new bar would open in early 2016. Then the opening date was moved to August. Both dates have come and gone and the doors remain closed.

The last update was in early September on the Cowboy Saloon Facebook page, saying it was 'almost time.'

Employees have been waiting for training and orientation but they are still waiting and many shared their frustration on Cowboy Saloon's Facebook page.

Brenda Kendrat: Have you guys received any emails since last month?

Chelsea Ryan: Not yet, been checking every day. Last one was in August.

Alix Elizabeth: I sent an email two weeks ago and got no response

Lindsey Davis: Crazy I emailed them so many times asking about a start date and nobody ever responded. I should have know better.

Amber Morey did get an email that she shared since others complained about not being able to open it.

This has a been a very long and trying road, but it's necessary for me at this time to inform everyone as to what is happening. Unfortunately for all of us, Carl left the company several weeks ago, and due to many financial difficulties, I have now been forced to leave as well. We hired all of you amazing individuals in hopes to work with you and make Cowboys Saloon the new place to be. The situation at hand has left us with no choice but to inform all of you as to what is happening currently. Cowboys Saloon is finding itself with many financial difficulties and in the process of changing ownership as well as talks of a possible company restructure. If by some off chance that this location does open, it sounds like it will take months for that to occur. It is a very sad situation as the inside is looking awesome. Many messages and emails have gone unanswered from our corporate office and all of our families have suffered immensely. As of today, there is no longer any management team here in Syracuse as we have all been forced to seek employment elsewhere. I imagine after you all receive this email, there will be no staff left hanging on either. Please understand that we have nothing personally to do with this as sadly, we have all fallen victim to the same situation that all of u have.

The Destiny USA website still says the saloon is opening soon but the Syracuse Cowboy Saloon website is gone.

From all accounts it looks like the country bar won't be opening in Destiny USA after all.

Cowboy Saloon has several locations in Florida, Colorado, and Arizona but this would be the first location in the Northeast. It was to fill the space left vacant after Toby Keith's I Love This Bar unexpected closed in May of 2015.
