Country Star Supports CNY Small Business

A little piece of Central New York is on its way to Nashville.

Country star Maddie Font of Maddie & Tae has been on the hunt for a way to relieve some of the pain she's been having. And she found it at a small business in Camden.

Miranda Carpenter of Body & Soul by Miranda, makes her own corn bags infused with essential oils. "I sent a nice little Instagram message sharing my handmade goods with Maddie on Instagram and she responded rather quickly."

Warm Hugs

Maddie not only ordered one for herself but a second one for her singing partner Tae Kerr who had just given birth to a premature baby. "Maddie shared her husband had made her a rice-filled sock recently and she’s been on the hunt for a bag," said Miranda. "With Tae spending so much time in the hospital with a premature newborn, she could use the warm hugs too."

The boxes of warm hugs each included a handwritten note. "I of course had to package them up nicely as these packages will be traveling from Camden New York to Nashville Tennessee," said Miranda.

Body and Soul by Miranda is on Etsy and Instagram. For anyone not out of town, you can get the essential oil-infused corn bags in Taberg, New York. "My items are sold in the Fish Creek Mercantile," said Miranda.
