Corn On The Cob And Hot Air Balloon Rides In Schuyler

Schuyler's 20th Annual Corn on the Cob Eating Competition and Car Show will have hot air balloon rides for the first time ever.

Airborne Adventure Balloon Rides will offer tethered rides for $10 per person per ride and that will also get you a free ticket to the Great New York State Fair!

The Annual Corn on the Cob Eating Competition and Car Show will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 282 Wood Lane in North Utica.

Everything starts at 10 a.m. and there's much more to do than eat tons of corn on the cob and ride in hot air balloons.

They will have a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, hula hoop contest, vendors, live entertainment, great food, wine slushies, and a huge firework display at dusk.

The Corn on the Cob eating contest is a 90 second competition. The amount of corn you eat is weighed and the winner is awarded $1,000. To qualify, you have to eat as much corn as possible within a 60 second period and be ranked. The final top 5 eaters compete for $1,000.

The Corn on the Cob contest isn't the only way for you to win some cash either, if you have a sweet ride, enter it in the car show!

The car show is open to the public, and People's Choice awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. 1st place winner takes home $100.00!! Parking for the cars will be on the grass.

Also new this year will be a beer tent for anyone 21 and over!
